MSC Magnifica

I spent one night on this ship as part of the inaugural celebrations. First impressions of the ship were very good - it is the latest 'Musica-class' ship 89.600 tons / 3013 guests Choice of 5 restaurants, numerous bars, an internet cafe and cigar lounge, 1,200 seat theatre, cinema and disco. Buffet for breakfast and lunch with plenty of hot and cold choices alternatively you can use the dining room and choose off a limited menu. 3 swimming pools, one under the retractable roof Aurea Spa- saunas and Turkish baths, fitness centre, beauty salon, Thalassotherapy room, relaxation area and massage rooms. Stateroom - I stayed in a balcony category 10 (no. 10150) which is on the starboard side near the middle elevators. This was a good location and the cabin itself had a very comfortable bed, sofa, flat screen TV (only CNN in English) and plenty of storage space. Free safe and frdge come minibar. When booking this ship be aware that the main nationality on board will be Italian. The italians tend not to queue and this can be annoying to polite English passengers. Also, the italians enjoy smoking and even though there are smoking areas you may find that it is no strictly aderred to. It is a family friendly ship so lots of children usually on board. Also, I understand that there is a charge for water on the ship and it is hard to get it for free, even in the gym there isn't a water cooler which is unusual. There is also a charge for hte gym per hour. If you have any questions about this or any other cruise please feel free to call me.
