My name is David and I'm based in the North West of England.

Firstly, thank you for visiting my TC website page. I'm so pleased to have the chance to tell you a little bit about my world, especially all things TC.

I love being a Travel Counsellor because I can use my extensive travel experience to create unique personalised trips for my clients, whether that's for leisure or business.

Travel is an absolute passion for me - since I can remember it's been one of my favourite things. When people ask me what is my motivation I say two things - my family and being in the travel industry. And I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do this as my job - helping people experience the joy of travel and have fabulous travel experiences.

Becoming part of the Travel Counsellors family was a no brainer. Just like this amazing business that I became part of, I care immensely about delivering an exceptional level of customer service. Travel Counsellors offer a level of award winning, bespoke, personalised service that is renowned across the industry. 'With Us It's Personal' is not just hyperbole, it's genuinely how we all feel.

From an earlier age my parents travelled and took my brother and I to some amazing places. Each time we marvelled "this is the best place ever". Little did we know there would be countless more "best places ever".
I was so inspired by travelling that I chose a trial GCSE In high school "Travel & Tourism". And then onto university where I graduated in Travel & Tourism Management. I was already hooked!

Since then I've had a wonderful career across travel - Thomas Cook, Jetset Europe, Laterooms.com, Eurocamp, Booking.com, Flight Centre and numerous airlines. Becoming a TC is full circle back to my first full-time job at Thomas Cook. I always knew it would be this way.

As an adult I've travelled extensively and continue to do so - I'm currently at 30 countries and counting - one of my life goals is to get to 50 countries visited, so I'm well on the way.

I love the buzz of finding that perfect moment, in that perfect place. A wild bear standing on the lush deep snow of northern Japan slope, a rum that knocks the socks off in a tiny backstreet bar in Havana or that deserted beach on a stunning winter's morning in eastern Scotland. These are the moments, the magical experiences that I've enjoyed and that I believe we should all have the opportunity to enjoy.

I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively and the experiences I’ve collected along the way help me design truly authentic itineraries for my clients. I know what ‘extraordinary’ feels like — and I want every one of my customers to feel it too.
As part of finding those moments for you I will get to know as much about your wants and needs as i can. In fact, I'll ask you at least once in our conversation to tell me your travel dreams!

As a TC I take great pride in saying that care, service and attention are the hallmarks of my business. My job is to make sure that your holiday is a memorable, meaningful experience and that means making sure your trip is taken care of for you in a way that ensures you are 100% delighted.
And of course that inspiration to find the next 'best place ever'.
