My name is Deborah and I am an independent travel agent living in Methley, a village close to Leeds, Castleford and Wakefield. I have worked in the travel industry for almost 20 years, joining Travel Counsellors in May 2006. Previously I was a manager for a high street travel agent.
I feel that customers should be able to receive a high level of personal service when looking for a holiday, and unlike many high street travel agents, Travel Counsellors can deliver this. I am also able to offer you independent travel advice and will confidently offer a holiday that suits you, irrespective of the tour operator. I recognise that not everyone is free to discuss their travel arrangements during the working week, and with the fantastic technology available to me I am able to work from home and deal with your requests at a time suitable to you.
My favourite holiday was to Dubai where I visited in 2005, however I have also been on other wonderful holidays including skiing in the alps, cruising around the Caribbean, and typical family beach holidays in Spain and Portugal. I am passionate about travel and with my experience I can confidently deal with any type of enquiry.

AZAMARA CLUB CRUISE

I have recently returned from a fabulous cruise on the Azamara Quest. My journey began in Nice and from here we went on the short journey to Monaco, St Tropez and Propriana in Corsica before having three wonderful days in Italy visiting the resorts of Amalfi and Sorrento. The highlight for me was definitely the ship itself. In my opinion, it is very much like a stately home at sea. For those who know the Devere 'Oulton Hall' it very much reminds me of that. The fixtures and furniture are very classy without being brash, and although the ship was small (approximately 500 passengers) it felt very spacious. The food was excellent, I liked the fact that it was open seating, no set times and very few queues for dinner. The dress code was smart casual throughout - no black tie or jackets. Azamara breaks away from the tradition of expensive drinks - house wine, beers, and many spirits are all free of charge! The white and red are changed every day giving everyone the chance to taste wines from around the world (the New Zealand Sauvignon was my favourite!) I was lucky to have an outside cabin with balcony which was lovely, very spacious and tastefully decorated. Azamara offers each passenger the option to take part in a free Azamazing evening excursion which I thought was a fabulous trip to the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco. I saw that most passengers did partake in this and the organisation was excellent. Overall, I had a wonderful time on this beautiful ship and would love to return.

Deborah took the stress away from us as we are very busy all the time if anything we were a bit slow looking at all the information and offers we didn’t think they would go so quick but she kept on looking for us and we eventually decide. The service and advice that we have received from Deborah over the last twelve years or so has been the same as always...……..impeccable. Nothing is too much trouble for her when she is arranging our holidays, her experience and here ability to find you the resort, hotel and a rundown of the resort etc comes back within a day or so always supported and presented in the same cheerful manner. Deborah has been really helpful when choosing our holidays. We tell her where we want to go and when, and she comes up with plenty of choices. She sorts everything for us, even booking us in on the internet for seats on the plane and prints off our boarding cards. That's us back from the glorious sunshine of Thailand! I would just like to say thank you so much for being there at the end of the phone when the flights were delayed at the beginning of the holiday, I can't tell you how reassuring it was to know you were there! Sean emailed thinking you would get it Monday when you went to work so for you to call back on the Sunday was just so great! Thank you again! Both hotels were fab, especially the Bo Phut one! I just felt I really had to write to travel counsellors to be able to publicly sing the praises of Deborah Robbins. Although Deborah has booked holidays for us before, this time she really was quite indispensible.
Our flight to Dubai was cancelled as we arrived at the airport, and after a four hour wait in a queue that hardly moved I rang her in desperation to try and find an alternative. She was calm and gave me on the spot advice and then drove to Leeds/Bradford, a 50 minute journey in Christmas traffic to collect me and my son as we were then told we would travel the next day.
Deborah has the knack of being able to search out options that you may not have thought out yourself, yet fit perfectly with your needs. She is always reliable and will return emails promptly, with information that will help you make the necessary choices. Deborah’s thoroughness of approach is always visible; especially when there are complex travel arrangements she clearly highlights what you need to do. I certainly do not have the time or the expertise to research holiday options, and can relax in the knowledge that Deborah will have thought of everything to ensure that all I have to do is pack my bags and go!
She’s one in a million and will always go the ‘extra mile’ to ensure you have a holiday that suits you. I would be happy to endorse her as the number one travel counsellor as I cannot possibly think of any way she, or anyone else could do the job better!
