Paradiski - France
Our 4-day, 3-night ski adventure to Peisey-Vallandry was nothing short of incredible. It all began with a seamless flight from Belfast to Geneva, followed by a comfortable private minibus transfer straight to the picturesque village of Vallandry. Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, this charming ski resort offers stunning alpine views and many options on "ski-to-the-door" accommodations - we headed straight to the lift pass office and were on the slopes by 2pm that day!
During our stay, we explored the incredible Les Arcs and La Plagne ski areas, which together form the world-famous Paradiski ski domain. With 425 km of interconnected pistes, this vast ski paradise offered something for every level. Beginners and intermediates loved the gentle, tree-lined runs in Peisey-Vallandry and Arc 1800, while the more experienced among us challenged ourselves on high-altitude red and black runs, including the thrilling Aiguille Rouge descent with its breath-taking 2,000m vertical drop!! La Plagne’s wide cruising pistes and excellent off-piste opportunities added even more variety to our ski experience.
This short but unforgettable ski break was the perfect way to experience the best of the French Alps in just a few days. With hassle-free travel, a prime ski-to-the-door location, and access to one of the world’s largest ski areas, the trip was ideal for us to make the most of our time on the slopes. Whether carving through Les Arcs’ pristine runs, tackling La Plagne’s vast terrain, or simply soaking in the stunning alpine scenery, every moment offered a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
One of the highlights of the trip was finally seeing in person the many villages in the ski area that have been top sellers for me over the past 25 years. Experiencing first-hand the charm and beauty of these destinations was truly special and added a personal connection to the places I’ve recommended to clients for so long. It was a reminder of why Vallandry and the Paradiski region continue to captivate skiers from around the world.
