Singapore stopover
We had a 3 night stopover in Singapore on the way to my nephew’s wedding in Australia, and made the holiday part of my son’s 18th birthday as well.
We caught a taxi to the hotel, the taxi’s are metered, was @SGD$40 for a one way taxi. Stayed at The Clan, which has a restaurant for breakfast, lunch & Dinner . A rooftop pool that needs to be prebooked have one hour slots. There is also a gym available as well.
The hotel was just opposite the MRT, was tap & go to use. We caught the train to Suntec City to catch the Hop-on, Hop-Off bus. There are 2 bus routes to take. We choice the 48hr pass and the one that includes the night tour. The night tour is a set tour and needs to pre confirmed.
We had a few stops and one was Raffles for a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar.
The Night Tour, takes you via Marina Bay with a stop off at the Marina Barrier to watch the sunset over the city and looking back to Marina Bay Sands. We had a stop at La Pa Sat street satay food, various satay options available. Ends up looking at the light display at Gardens by the Bay.
We had a good wonder round Chinatown and Little India as well as numerous shopping centres to choose from.
I purchased tickets to go up to the 56th floor at the Marina Bay Sands and watch the sunset over the city. There is a small bar with snack food available or otherwise a few restaurants that need to be prebooked.
Boat Quay & Clarke Quay offer numerous restaurants to choose from that are by the river.
