Dubai & Abu Dhabi - My engagement trip!
Ever since I was little, my dream holiday had been to visit Dubai! My partner and I flew out with British Airways, which was super on time and made our long 8-hour journey very comfortable.
We stayed on The Palm Jumeirah, at the 5* Dukes the Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel where we got upgraded to a premium suite! We opted for bed and breakfast so we could eat out and enjoy all the amazing restaurants Dubai has to offer. The weather was pure sunshine and every day it was around 35-40 degrees!
In just five days, we fit so much adventure into our stay. First of all, we explored Dubai Mall and did some shopping, we even managed to get ourselves lost due to the size! Later, that evening, I then had the surprise of my life, my now fiancé proposed on sunrise beach at sunset with hundreds of roses with the skyline of Dubai! This is something we can add for you to make your dream holiday extra memorable.
The next morning, we woke up early and took a yacht tour from Dubai Harbour, where we had breakfast, sunbathed on the top deck, stopped for photo stops, and even got to drive the yacht! We then went back to our hotel to continue sunbathing and got ready for our next activity, the Aura Sky pool which is the world's highest 360° infinity pool offering incredible views of the iconic Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah, and the glistening horizon of the Arabian Gulf, listening to a live saxophonist playing calming house music.
After another day passed, we were super excited to get up and ready for our desert safari tour, we upgraded to the premium tour where we drove buggies over the sand dunes, tried out sand boarding, were passengers in a professional driver's vehicle a took on dune bashing. After all this, we were taken to a traditional camp where we had an Arabic dinner, watched amazing shows, had henna, and had a camel ride.
We were then onto our last full day; we got picked up early and taken to Abu Dhabi to visit the Grand Mosque. This was amazing! We dressed in full traditional clothing then we had two full hours to explore the beautiful architecture.
Overall, I could not recommend Dubai and Dukes the Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel enough as they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and proved there is something for everyone!”
