Last-Minute Escape: A Welsh Retreat from Home Renovation Chaos

Veronique Surry on 27 October 2024
This last minute trip was arranged to escape the building work we are having done in our house. We thought we would come back to Snowdonia, Wales as we felt in love with it during lockdown. Packed with zipworld adrenaline activities throughout our stay while still doing some sightseeing. We stayed in a beautiful cottage in Maentwrog - Penrhiw/hilltop cottage. Quite central to go and explore Snowdonia national park. Waterfalls we highly recommend: Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall (easy access) Swallow falls (easy access) Aber falls (30-45min beautiful walk) Beach not to miss out: Black rock sands beach in Porthmadog Which is on the west side and you can experience beautiful sunset while parked on the beach ! Villages: Llangollen - with the aqueduct Beddgert Betws-y-Coed Sites National trust - Carneddau and Glyderau view point
