Starting my own business and setting up with Travel Counsellors is something that feels so natural, I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner. Having spent my career to date in events and luxury hospitality, I feel so passionately about delivering a personal service to clients to make their lives easier and less stressful. I love everything about travel from a fly and flop holiday to backpacking around the lesser known parts of South East Asia, travel has always been a part of my life and a true passion of mine.
To me, the idea of having a Travel Counsellor that you know and trust, is like having a personal assistant to manage any and all aspects of what travel and holidays mean to you. Getting to know clients, understanding their needs and requirements, what makes them tick and learning about what they want from a trip is what makes me love doing what I do. For me, researching a new place or putting together an itinerary for a client doesn’t really feel like work and when I say I can research, I will find out everything there is to know to ensure it really will deliver what you’re looking for.
As a working mum to 2 young children, having the flexibility to work when and where I want is also a dream come true. I am available to chat (on the phone or online) whenever it suits you, and where possible, would always suggest a meeting in person so I can really get to know you. In the current day, where life sometimes seems impossibly busy, and the internet, whilst it has it’s many benefits, can also leave us feeling overwhelmed and caught in a rabbit hole, I am here to take away any stress that booking a holiday or a trip away may cause. Taking time out of our busy lives has never been more important.
Booking with Travel Counsellors doesn’t just mean working with me; you also have the full support of our award winning head office team so if there’s ever a problem, we are all here to support and make sure you get sorted so you can get back to relaxing. My family and I have just returned from a holiday to Dubai and the Maldives, which was arranged by Helen with efficiency and professionalism from the outset. Helen took the time and trouble to discuss with us what we were looking for and set about identifying appropriate options for us to choose from in both destinations, with suitable flights that matched our needs and maximised our holiday time. With flights and accommodation booked, Helen then offered suggestions of things to do in Dubai and, once we decided, arranged all the booking details. Dubai was great and the Maldives - total paradise, sheer bliss and everything we had hoped it would be.

Hi Helen - Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for your guidance with our ski trip. From removing the pain of the search by giving us a short-list of options to the reminder about the (nearly!) expired passport, the whole process was totally seamless. We have just had the most wonderful holiday organised by Helen and couldn’t recommend her enough. After a quick discussion to narrow down our budget/criteria for our holiday she found us three really great options that all met our criteria and that we would never have found without her. Half of our family unfortunately came down with norovirus the night before our holiday, but Helen and the TC emergency helpline dealt with everything for us and found new flights and arranged transfers for us really quickly. My wife and I had never visited Madeira previously so relied entirely on Helen's advice as to booking a short break. She arranged great flights on preferred airline and recommended 3 hotels any off which were acceptable. In fact the hotel we selected from her list was fantastic-we would recommend it to anyone based on service, quality and location. Helen arranged a requested half day tour around the Island which concentrated on the southern side of the island, and we learned that whole day tours would be required to go further afield. Transfers and the guide on this tour were all excellent. Helen is to be complimented on her knowledge and expertise in arranging a lovely short break that we both greatly enjoyed. We intend to feed back other information to her directly that may assist other clients seeking a similar trip to Madeira.

We (a retired couple) have just returned from an eleven night stay in St Lucia. It was our first time using a Travel Counsellor and what a joy it was having a professional do all the hard work! From the outset, on learning our requirements for a sunny winter break, Helen responded to all queries very promptly and professionally. There was never any pressure for quick decisions. Helen organise a fantastic multigenerational holiday to Marrakech for my extended family. She organised the whole trip including flights, transfers, accomodation and activities for our group of 16 people. Helen was brilliant from booking our holiday in Abu Dhabi to making sure we were checked in on our flights and providing our boarding passes on the app and as an attachment to an email. All the transportation from and to the airport was arranged and it was great as we did not have to worry about a thing. It was my birthday while I was away and she even sent me a happy birthday message on th day.
She did more towards making our holiday perfect than any other travel company I have used in the past.

Helen was fantastic and most definitely found us a holiday that we wouldn't have found ourselves. She was very quick to send us options and really responsive when we went back with our feedback. She took all of the stress out of liaising with the hotel re. rooms, informing them of my son's nut allergy, check in for our flights, all of the documentation – it wasn't expected and truly appreciated. The flights were as expected, the transfers were hassle-free and the hotel itself was fantastic – the welcome note from Helen was a lovely touch, as was the (nut-free) birthday cake and balloons delivered to my son, which I have a feeling that Helen had a hand in! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her services and will no doubt be calling on her expertise again.
