Based In Basingstoke
Hey there! Thanks so much for stopping by my page.
I'm Holly, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and have always had a huge passion for travel. I'm thrilled to work in the travel industry and share my experiences with you all.
Before becoming a Travel Counsellor, I spent nearly six years as an overseas holiday representative. This amazing role allowed me to live in five different countries, immersing myself in local cultures, activities, and gaining incredible insights. My favourite place was Mexico, where I lived for a year and a half and experienced everything from Mayan ceremonies at Chichen Itza to swimming with whale sharks and dancing the nights away at Coco Bongo, it was unforgettable. In 2016, I had the chance to travel and explore 10 different areas in Thailand, which was equally amazing.
I truly love nothing more than discussing and arranging holidays! Offering a bespoke service is at the heart of what I do. Whether you're dreaming of a relaxing beach trip to the Maldives, an adventure through Thailand, an all-inclusive getaway to Greece, or a customized journey across multiple countries, I'm here to make it all seamless. Unlike high-street shops, I'm available at times that suit you best, so no worries about closing times.
At Travel Counsellors, we provide the best financial protection in the industry, ensuring every penny of your booking is 100% protected at no extra cost. I pride myself on exceptional customer service and genuinely CARE about giving you the best possible experience. I'll listen to your needs and guide you through the process to create special moments that will become cherished memories.
Feel free to reach out today as I would love the privilege to discuss your next trip.
I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list!
Whatever your holiday needs I'm here to help you, so simply give me a call or send me an email with your contact details on and I can get things started for you:
I absolutely live and breathe travel and I love to write about my experiences! Please take a look through my posts - you might find your own holiday inspiration.

When I first set foot in the sun-soaked paradise of Mexico, I had no idea just how much this region would steal my heart.. From exploring the vibrant streets of Playa del Carmen and the bohemian vibes of Tulum to discovering beautiful gems like Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. I got to see so much of this beautiful Country. Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum - Most of my time was spent working in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and close to Tulum. Cancun’s famous beaches and buzzing nightlife were always fun! Coco bongos is a must do at least once in your life time! I even had a 81 year old customer go and said he loved it. Playa del Carmen was perfect for its more laid-back vibes, beachside hangouts and rooftop pool bars along 5th avenue. While Tulum’s ancient ruins, boho scene and amazing cenotes (underground cave systems) made it feel like a magical escape. Just wear mozzy spray!! Adventure awaits - Mexico is an adventure lover’s paradise, offering endless activities for thrill-seekers and culture vultures. Everything from ancient Mayan ruins like Chichén Itzá and Coba to zip-lining and swimming through underground rivers in the famous Xparks (like Xcaret, Xel ha or Xplor). You will be spoilt for choice… Nature at its finest - One of my favourite experiences was visiting the stunning Sian Ka'an Biosphere to see wild dolphins, manatees and crocodiles. You can even go flamingo spotting at the mesmerizing Pink lakes of Las Coloradas made thanks to algae that live in the water. Akumal is known as one of the best places to swim with Turtles and you can even help release babies between May- Oct. Magical!! Island Adventures: Isla Mujeres, Holbox and Cozumel - Isla Mujeres, a quick ferry ride from Cancun, was my go-to spot for relaxing on days off. You can even rent a golf buggy to drive around the island stopping at the most stunning beaches, like Playa Norte. Cozumel is larger of the two and is known for its incredible snorkelling, is a very popular spot with divers and offered unforgettable sunsets. Isla Holbox is a serene, car-free island known for its stunning beaches, vibrant street art and very popular during whale shark season. Inland Treasures: Mérida, Valladolid, and Bacalar - Whenever I could, I’d head inland to places like Mérida, with its colonial charm, and Valladolid, a quiet town with incredible cenotes like Suytun and Ik Kil. Bacalar is a beautiful area to explore with its "Lagoon of Seven Colors". You can take many boat tours across the huge lagoon or spend the day relaxing in a hammock. Tequila: A Love-Hate Relationship - You cant go to Mexico and not try Tequila! Of course, I had my fair share (including the infamous snake-in-a-bottle version!), but despite trying on many occasions, I never became its biggest fan. Tequila and I just don’t mix well—let’s leave it at that! Tacos and culinary delights - It no surprise that I ate my body weight in tacos over 18 months. Often the best spots being the local venders! Mexican food is far from the Tex-Mex many people expect. Instead of heavy, cheesy dishes, it's all about fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and regional specialties like tacos al pastor and rich mole sauces. Of course you will still find McDonalds and various other cuisines here too. Returning for More- After spending 18 months living in Mexico, I returned for a two-week holiday over Christmas and New Year 2023, and it felt like coming home! With so much still left to explore, I know I'll be back for more adventures soon. If you're looking for inspiration or tips on exploring the region, feel free to get in touch!
