This 11-night Mediterranean journey blends iconic landmarks, coastal charm, and indulgent comforts. Begin in Rome, where you’ll spend two nights exploring the Eternal City before boarding Seven Seas Voyager for a nine-night all-inclusive cruise in a guaranteed Deluxe Veranda cabin (or higher category if available). Sail through Italy, France, and Spain, encountering Napoleon’s island retreat on Elba, the dazzling colours of Cinque Terre, the elegance of Villefranche, and the spirited ports of Spain’s Mediterranean coast. The adventure concludes in Barcelona, where food, art, and Gothic streets offer a fitting finale.

Day 1–3: Rome

Fly directly from London to Rome, where a private transfer will take you to Suite Fontana di Trevi to settle in, just steps from the famous fountain.

On your second evening, immerse yourself in Roman life with a private dining experience hosted by a Cesarine, part of a network of local home cooks who preserve traditional recipes passed down through generations. A lovingly crafted four-course menu featuring fresh pasta, robust wines, and genuine Italian warmth make this an unforgettable evening.

Explore the city at your own pace before heading to the cruise port on day three for an evening departure. Climb the Spanish Steps, admire the view from Aventine Hill, or visit the Colosseum, Rome’s most iconic arena.

Day 4–5: Italy by Sea

The first port of call is the enchanting island of Elba, where Napoleon once lived in exile. Step inside his former residences in Portoferraio, wander the old town streets, and take in the island’s historic forts and coastal views.

The next day, La Spezia becomes your gateway to the vivid cliffside villages of Cinque Terre, each painted in shades of ochre, coral, and soft turquoise. Narrow alleys and terraced hillsides spill toward the glittering Ligurian Sea, creating a patchwork of colour that looks almost unreal.

Day 6: Villefranche

Just along the coast from Nice, Villefranche offers a more intimate taste of the Côte d’Azur. Visit the Chapelle St. Pierre decorated by Jean Cocteau or wander the citadel’s art galleries. Nearby Nice beckons with its iconic Promenade des Anglais, which offers a picturesque stroll flanked by swaying palms and the azure Baie des Anges. The grand Belle Époque mansions are a timelessly elegant sight, while the hilltop views from Castle Hill show a medley of terracotta rooftops below.

Day 7: At Sea

A day at sea offers time to relax in the ship’s refined surroundings. Watch for dolphins from the deck, browse boutiques, or simply enjoy the Seven Seas Voyager’s gourmet dining as the Balearic Sea glides by.

Day 8–10: Spain’s Southeastern Coast and Islands

Your first Spanish port is Alicante, a city where wide beaches and a lively marina sit beneath the historic silhouette of Santa Bárbara Castle.

Continue to Valencia, home to the fifteenth-century Silk Exchange, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Don’t miss Valencia’s majestic cathedral and the Chapel of the Holy Chalice, a Gothic masterpiece steeped in legend and linked to the Holy Grail.

Ibiza brings this stretch to a close: beyond its famous nightlife, the island reveals pine-covered hills, quiet coves, and the fortified old town of Dalt Vila, where cobbled streets open onto Mediterranean views.

Day 11–12: Barcelona

Disembark in Barcelona for a guided Food and Tapas Walking Tour, one of the highlights of your journey. Begin at La Boqueria, a landmark market on Las Ramblas where colourful produce, seafood, and charcuterie fill every stall. Sample inventive pintxos and small plates, then continue to the Santa Caterina Market, known for its undulating mosaic roof and range of Catalan specialties. The evening is yours to enjoy aboard the ship one last time before disembarking on day twelve.

On your final morning, head to the airport to end your Mediterranean voyage, leaving you with memories of coastlines, cuisine, and culture to treasure long after you return home.
