Japan is a captivating place where timeless tradition and cutting-edge modernity blend seamlessly. This two-week honeymoon itinerary invites you to experience Japan’s sights, artisan crafts, and unique cuisine, all while taking in the country's beautiful landscapes and heartfelt hospitality. Here’s how your trip unfolds:
Days 1-3: Tokyo
Kick off your honeymoon in Tokyo, a city that pulses with energy and offers a glimpse into Japan’s contemporary and traditional living. Begin with a peek into the past by visiting the historic neighbourhood of Shibamata. Wander through its nostalgic streets lined with quaint shops and eateries before exploring Shibamata Taishakuten Temple.
Try your hand at Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of ‘golden repair’, where broken ceramics are mended with lacquer and powdered gold. Take home a plate transformed into a unique keepsake, embodying the Japanese philosophy of beauty in imperfection.

Days 4-5: Kanazawa
Board the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kanazawa, where tradition and artistry come alive. On your first evening, step into the world of Japan’s Edo-period entertainment with an unforgettable dinner hosted by a geisha, complete with live music.
The next day, explore the renowned Kenrokuen Garden, meticulously designed with seasonal variations in mind. Continue to Kanazawa’s craft scene by meeting an exceptional artisan. From ceramics to kimono dyeing, you’ll see how Japanese crafts have been preserved through generations, with an opportunity to learn about their creative processes over tea.

Days 6-7: Takayama
Next, travel via a private transfer to Takayama, stopping along the way to admire the traditional wooden houses of Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and observe the carp-filled canals of Hida Furukawa. Once in Takayama, take time to enjoy the slower pace of Japan’s rural charm. Wander through the well-preserved Old Town or relax at one of the town’s welcoming hot springs.

Days 8-11: Kyoto
Arrive in Kyoto, Japan’s cultural heart. A private kimono photo experience will allow you to dress in traditional attire against the picturesque backdrop of landmark locations like Yasaka Pagoda.
Be sure to set aside a day to explore the Arashiyama district, known for its towering bamboo groves and Tenryuji Temple. Later, discover the ancient capital of Nara, home to Todai-ji Temple’s Great Buddha and sacred deer that roam freely. Don’t miss the iconic torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine as you trek to admire Kyoto from a lofty vantage point.

Days 12-13: Hiroshima
Take the Shinkansen to Hiroshima, a city that contrasts its poignant history with hopeful energy. Visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, then travel to Miyajima Island to see the famous Itsukushima Shrine and its ‘floating’ torii gate. Stroll through vibrant paths or sample regional treats like maple leaf-shaped cakes and freshly farmed oysters.

Days 14-15: Osaka
Celebrate your last evening by joining a shared cooking class in Osaka. Under expert guidance, make delicious ramen and gyoza before enjoying your creations with dessert. After a restful night, conclude your adventure with a private transfer to the airport and bask in the memories of your perfectly planned escape.
