Dining beneath the wings of Concorde - A magical evening at DUXFORD AIR MUSEUM
I’m back in Warwickshire again today, (25/02/2025) after a fantastic “Travel Counsellors Gold Dinner” two-day treat away.
Each year Travel Counsellors treat the top 5% of their Travel Counsellors to a special UK weekend away.
On Sunday morning we arrived at the hotel, and after some lunch, we indulged in an interesting Calligraphy class accompanied with fizz….!
In the evening, we were privileged to experience a wonderful dinner & entertainment at ‘Duxford Air Museum’ which is the largest aviation museum in Great Britain.
We dined in a very unusual but surreal location - under the wings of ‘Concorde G-AXDN’ (!) one of two pre-production models that was built … and were even allowed to go on-board & take a look inside !
Concorde, which is sadly now fully retired, could fly at incredibly high speeds and cruise at twice the altitude of any ‘normal’ aircraft!
Today we had some great conference sessions, back at our hotel in the center of the beautiful city of Cambridge.
Thank you to “TC HQ” * ….. for spoiling us all
*even though I am Self-Employed, I am very lucky to have an amazing head-office based in Manchester.
