"The quirkiest hotel" ....that I've ever stayed in...!

It was actually very recently... back in October 2022, when I stayed in Vienna, Austria. I find VIENNA quite an expensive city to stay in.. and as we only needed to stay for one night.... I was looking and found that we had our own excellent TC rates for this hotel... so I thought let's try it, ...why not? The hotel lobby could be a collectors' museum! There are retro radios, retro televisions, retro alarm clocks, typewriters ... lots and lots of retro memorabilia from 1980s etc. mostly laid out in glass cabinets... Also, there is a giant astronaut stood in the reception. ( Yes .. you read correctly +) Adjacent to the reception ... (which is actually just a long cabinet housing more retro things !!) There is a large lounge/ breakfast area. Also a bar ...which is operated on a 'honesty-box' basis ... with a huge emphasis on the fact that karma will come and get you... (if you don't tell the truth on which drinks you have drunk, and pay your dues!) Bedrooms: The quirkiest part of it all - our room had a huge 'space monkey' mural on the wall & was decorated with 'space' accessories. The large walk-in shower was excellent & decked out with modern tiles, basin and mirror. Although, it was located literally in the middle of the room .. there was however a separate wc with its own door !! All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It felt very different, and it felt fun & young... Yet we did not feel out of place being older! Children in particular would undoubtedly love staying here, because every turn, every wall, every corridor - has something unusual to look at. Especially the lifts..! Also, its in a brilliant location close to the famous VIENNA theme park with rides galore for families to enjoy. Definitely give it a 4/5 ??individualism ??Quirky ??Unusual ??Clean ??Comfortable ??Reasonable cost ??Excellent breakfast ??Unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before Have a nosey at my photos .....
