Perfect family holiday, not too far from home!

Mel Halloway on 29 August 2008
We have been twice to Menorca, in June 2007 we visited Son Bou and August 2008 we went to Cala N Blanes.

Son Bou has a lovely sandy beach and is less than half an hour from the airport. It is a very quiet resort and I would definitely recommend a car if you were staying longer than a week or just wanted to explore the Island. There are several restaurants and bars, but overall our holiday was very peaceful and quiet!

We loved Cala n Blanes, it has so much to offer families! Most of the bars and restaurants have bouncy castles or play areas for children so parents can have a meal or a drink in peace! There is a variety of restaurants to chose from. In the resort there is two huge bouncy castles, a whale and a rabbit where you can pay 2.50 euros and the children can go on as long as they like and get a free ice cream on the way out. Again parents can eat/drink while they wait!

The beach is very small although it is excellent for children and they were able to paddle in the clear waters! There is also a small waterpark in the resort, which we found to be quite expensive and not really good for young children.

A great holiday which I would not hesitate to recommend!
