• Your journey begins in Hanoi, a city that never sits still. Step into its rhythm with a half-day Vespa tour, weaving through narrow laneways, hidden markets, and backstreets rarely seen by visitors. Stop at local cafés and family-run kitchens for bites of home-cooked favourites, the kind of dishes that have been passed down through generations.

• After an overnight train south, you’ll wake up in Phong Nha, home to some of Vietnam’s most spectacular cave systems. Glide down the Son River by traditional dragon boat to explore Phong Nha Cave, where the underground chambers open into vast spaces filled with extraordinary rock formations. The following day, the adventure continues at Paradise Cave and the aptly named Dark Cave, where you can zip-line across the river, kayak through the jungle, and float in a natural mud pool.

• The next stop is Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital. You’ll explore the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, once home to emperors and mandarins. Outside the city, you’ll visit the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone) and the Vinh Moc Tunnels, an underground network where families lived during the war. Standing on the Hien Luong Bridge, which once marked the divide between North and South, you’ll feel the weight of this history-rich country.

• Your journey ends by the sea in Danang, where relaxation takes centre stage.
