Your journey starts in Belgrade, where you can walk through Kalemegdan Fortress and see the junction of the Danube and Sava rivers. The city’s streets are a mix of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture, with cafés and local markets nearby. Then sail into Budapest, which offers a contrast with the grand Parliament Building, thermal baths such as Széchenyi, and riverside promenades.

As you continue upriver, Bratislava greets you with pastel-hued townhouses, hidden courtyards, and independent shops tucked into its compact Old Town. Above it all, Bratislava Castle keeps watch, offering sweeping views of the river you’ve just sailed in on.

Arriving in Vienna in the evening at the end of your cruise gives you a different perspective of the city. The Ringstrasse and St Stephen’s Cathedral are illuminated, and the State Opera House often hosts amazing performances at night. You can attend a concert, explore museums that remain open late, or enjoy a glass of wine in one of the city’s traditional wine taverns.
