Luxor sets the stage with some of Egypt’s most extraordinary treasures. Walk through the towering columns of the Temple of Karnak and see the intricate details that have stood the test of time. In the Valley of the Kings, step inside the tombs of pharaohs and take in the remarkably preserved carvings. As the day ends, the Temple of Luxor is beautifully lit, offering a striking view across the Nile’s eastern bank.

Further south, visits to Edfu and Kom Ombo reveal fascinating glimpses of ancient Egyptian life. The Temple of Horus at Edfu is one of the best-preserved in the country, with detailed carvings showing scenes of daily life and mythology. At Kom Ombo, you’ll see unique inscriptions linked to early medical practices and learn how the temple was dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Horus, who were believed to protect the Nile and its people.

In Aswan, the atmosphere feels calm and welcoming. You’ll take a short boat ride to the Temple of Philae, beautifully set on its own island, before visiting a Nubian village on Hisa Island. There’s a chance to meet local families, try hibiscus tea, and learn about everyday life along the Nile.
