Letoonia Club & Hotel, Fethiye, Turkey – A Perfect Family Escape

Tucked away on its own peaceful peninsula just outside Fethiye, Letoonia Club & Hotel has become one of my all-time favourite places for a truly relaxing family holiday. Every time we return, I’m reminded why this resort holds such a special place in my heart.

Flying into Dalaman Airport couldn’t be easier, and with just a 50-minute transfer to the resort, you’re in holiday mode almost immediately. Over the years, I’ve discovered a fantastic private transfer company that makes the journey smooth and stress-free. It’s that little bit of comfort that sets the tone for the week ahead—no waiting around, no crowded coaches—just straight to the sunshine.

Letoonia is a low-lying resort of bungalows and bougainvillea that feels wonderfully spread out despite its capacity for around 2,000 guests. Set on its own peninsula, it boasts three private beaches where the water is gentle, warm, and perfect for swimming. There are activities galore and a child and teen club.

For a four-star holiday, the food is surprisingly impressive. With three main restaurants plus three à la carte options, there’s plenty of choice. Mass catering is notoriously tricky to get right, but Letoonia really does pull it off—whether you’re after a leisurely breakfast, a fresh seafood dinner, or something in between.

While you could happily spend your entire holiday alternating between beach and pool, the area is perfect for day trips. In past years, we’ve done the Jeep Safari—a full day of water fights, open-top jeeps, and even a spot of river rafting. It’s high-energy, great for older kids, and a guaranteed laugh. This year, we opted for the 12 Islands boat trip, and it was nothing short of magical. The day included stops at beautiful snorkeling spots and a barbeque lunch on board, with views that looked like they belonged on a postcard.

I particularly recommend Letoonia for families with teenagers. Teens seem to effortlessly make friends here, which means they’re happily occupied while parents get some well-earned downtime. It’s also a friendly place for adults—you’ll find yourself chatting over cocktails or striking up conversations on the beach, and many guests return year after year. We’ve made friends every single time we’ve stayed.
