My first visit to Marbella Corfu and it did not disappoint. We had a lovely family holiday. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and made us feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave. The special touch on arrival at 12am was where it all began with a birthday cake for Eve. A short 25-minute transfer from Corfu airport heading south east of the island situated on the Ionian Sea offering breath-taking views, surrounded by lush olive groves and greenery. We enjoyed every restaurant they were all as good as each other. Our lunchtime was spent in the a la carte Restaurant "Dolphin" situated on the beach looking onto the gorgeous sea, we never got bored off this view every day and the food was delicious. The freshwater pool along with the cascade sea water pool with Jacuzzi and the Natura protected private beach that has been awarded with the blue flag are fitted with sun loungers and umbrellas welcoming guests to enjoy a refreshing swim in view of the Ionian sea. Younger guests can splash around the children’s water park pool or the baby pool depending on their age, enjoy delicious kids meals, attend the kids club, enjoy a day at the playground amidst the gardens, spend some quality time with the entire family while participating in a series of sports and water sports activities or attend a number of amusing events organized at the resort. Guests are invited to embark on the most enjoyable boot camp, yoga, Pilates, spinning, biking, hiking, sea-kayaking and sailing self-guided tours to explore the island of Corfu. My children loved the complimentary daily ride out on the Kayaks or the Pedalo feeding the fish, even seeing 3 dolphins in one day. GoldenEye has a history dating back to 1939 when Ian Fleming was recruited by Her Majesty’s British Naval Intelligence to be a formal commander during the war. This title was the reason he found himself on the island when enemy boats sailed the Caribbean seas. Officially, GoldenEye itself was around in 1942 although not as a hotel, as a navel operation leading to Ian falling in love with Jamaica, and an awe-inspiring future was set to inspire the world.
