Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Vicky Harrison-Storey. It’s a privilege to welcome you to my personal web page at Travel Counsellors. I live in Cleckheaton a bustling little town in West Yorkshire, with my husband Lee and daughter Phoebe.
I have had a passion for travel for as long as I can remember, as a child we travelled on many family holidays overseas. My mother often reminds me I loved to inspect all the hotels, checking out the rooms and facilities and compared them to previous hotels. I guess I was a hotel inspector in the making.
After leaving school over 38 years ago I embarked upon my travel career. I studied Travel and Tourism for 2 years at degree level and started my first job working as a Saturday girl in a busy independent travel outlet in Leeds city centre. Since then I have worked in various roles, including overseas representation. My previous role was the Manager of the Luxury Leisure Travel Department at a well know independent corporate travel company where I did both corporate and tailor made leisure travel for my clients for over 26 years. Arranging anything from package holidays to private Jet charter.
I started my own business with Travel Counsellors in 2018 and I have loved every minute. I love running my own business and I'm very proud to be a Gold Travel Counsellor.
During my time in the industry I have had the most incredible opportunities to travel to really exciting destinations and stay in some of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels. I look forward to sharing these incredible adventures with you.

Vicky provides us with exceptional service from the moment we start planning a trip until the moment we return home. Over the many years she has been arranging our holidays she has taken the time to learn our preferences and must haves and offers suggestions on new destinations and experiences. Nothing is ever a problem and Vicky goes above and beyond to ensure any trip goes as smooth as possible, and should there be a problem she is always on hand to assist and resolve. We will not use anybody else for as long as we can travel!!

Words cannot describe or do justice to the service provided by Vicky. When you want to go on holiday she finds the ideal destination and a great price, but more importantly when something changes, goes wrong or is required she fixes it seamlessly. The biggest compliment would be that I know I can be fussy and picky and couldn’t be my own Travel Counsellor but Vicky does it without any fuss. We would be lost without her!!!

Vicky is fantastic. She listens and fully understands the client’s requirements, but also uses her vast experience in the business to float ideas and advice. She is always extremely pleasant and professional., and nothing is too much trouble. Even when the original brief changes completely, she isn’t fazed, she just applies herself to the new task, and seeks the very best in terms of quality of experience and value for money. We have known and dealt with Vicky for all our travel arrangements for many years now and we were so glad of this relationship given the current Covid-19 situation and the fact that we were due to travel abroad in the middle of May 2020. Vicky has been on top of everything since the pandemic started and constantly communicating with us regarding travel updates and options available until unfortunately our trip was cancelled. We were then unsure about refunds etc and again Vicky took care of everything for us and we were delighted to receive news that our refund was processed around the same time we were actually due to travel and it has now been received in full.
We would always recommend Vicky to anyone who is looking for a first class service from an experienced travel professional and it is in circumstances like these that you fully appreciate the service provided by a reputable business in Travel Counsellors and a dedicated and knowledgeable individual like Vicky. We will be contacting Vicky as soon as we are allowed to travel safely again and for many years to come!!

I was going to book our holiday myself using the various internet providers but it proved rather difficult so we approached our friend Victoria Harrison-Storey who is an independent travel consultant and she put together a fantastic package for us and was wonderful to work with. When we travelled, we ended up stuck in Newark airport for days and totally missed the San Francisco part of our trip due to various delays and weather issues. Whilst it was happening, Vicky having worked during the UK daytime as normal was sleeping in her spare room and taking calls from us, re-booking various flights and speaking with various US Airline reps and hotels to try to sort things for us as much as possible. She did this for 3 nights in a row. If we had booked online ourselves I have no idea how we would have managed. I will always book my trips with Vicky from now on and I really would recommend you do the same. Booking it yourself is fine until it all goes wrong - you need someone who knows what to do behind you. Since we came home she has also managed our compensation claim and is just remarkable. Please use Vicky when you can and recommend her to anyone who needs a travel consultant.

Vicky organised a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa for our honeymoon. We visited several locations and stayed in a variety of luxury places along the way.
Our favourites being Sambona Wildlife Reserve where we went on the most incredible safari for 3 days, Grootbos Nature reserve where we watched the whales breaching from our private pool looking out over the bay! We would highly recommend Vicky for a tailor-made holiday, she took care of absolutely everything
