The Maldives - A little bit of paradise

I can honestly say when I arrived at the resort via seaplane it actually took my breath away. I know the Maldives was going to be beautiful and I had seen lots of pictures before I went but nothing can prepare you for what it’s actually like – it really is better than any image on a postcard!

We arrived in February and the weather was fabulous. We stayed for 10 days at the Siyam World Resort in an overwater Lagoon Villa. Simply sitting on your own deck overlooking the Indian Ocean and watching the Sealife was truly amazing. Having your own pool and slide was also a luxury!

There were numerous pools, bars and restaurants as its one of the bigger islands as well as lots of water sport activities. We personally loved the kayaking and the inflatable water park. We also did lots of snorkelling and a diving trip which I would highly recommend.

For me The Maldives will always hold a special place in my heart and I feel very privileged to have experienced it! It really is like no other …
