MSC Bellissima Beauty At Sea

Joanne Kemp on 11 March 2019
This March, I was very lucky to be invited to the launch weekend of the new MSC Bellissima in Southampton - the ship exceeded my expectations completely and loved being on board and seeing so much of the "Beauty At Sea".

Having not been on board any of their ships before, I really loved their atrium, which has a real wow factor. Here you find the famous Swarovski crystal staircases, which has a stunning 640 crystals per step...these are breath-taking! Another wow factor for me was their LED screen ceiling above the promenade - which is the longest LED screen at sea. The screen changes images every 30 seconds and in the evening turns into a light and sound show. The promenade incorporates speciality restaurants, shops and lounges. As well as the main buffet restaurant which has a really good choice of food options, you have a variety of different food/snack options...speciality restaurants such as Teppanyaki as well as a steak restaurant – The Butchers Cut and Hola, Tapas Bar and a sushi bar, as well as a macaroon shop and an ice cream parlour and creperie. My favourite was the amazing chocolate factory – The Jean-Phillipe Chocolat and Café. Here you can watch chocolatiers make their chocolate - I was in Chocolate Heaven.

For families, on the top deck is the Arizona Waterpark which has three different waterslides. Located close to the children’s clubs. There is a Baby Club, Junior Club and Teen Club all are well equipped to keep children occupied and happy. Also, a fantastic Sports Zone where there was an indoor basketball court, as well as a full-size bowling alley and two Formula 1 simulators. There is also a 4D theatre and virtual reality games.

For those looking for some relaxation, there is the Aurea Spa which offers everything from treatments to facials, alongside a hair salon, nail spa and for any fitness enthusiasts a large gym area.

If you are looking for something a little bit special, then I would highly recommend the MSC Yacht Club could be for you. It has the feel of a private club area with exclusive cabins with private facilities and butler service. There is also an exclusive Yacht Club bar and restaurant which has stunning views out to sea.

In summary, I had an exceptional stay on board MSC Bellissima and if you are thinking of cruising with MSC, please do get in touch!
