Personal Travel Blog: BOHOL, PHILIPPINES Date travelled: April 2017 General: • Bohol is 1.5 hours flight from Manila (airport is Tagbilaran) • Best time to travel is from December to April • Summer (April & May) is when the Chocolate Hills turn brown Hotel: • Bohol South Beach Hotel • Small boutique hotel just a 10min tricycle ride to Alona Beach (main beach area) • Clean, comfortable, quiet location, beautiful pool, rooftop restaurant Must sees/dos: • Baclyon Church – one of the oldest in the Philippines • Chocolate Hills – the famous 1,268 cone-shaped hills spreading over 50sq.km • Loboc River – take a floating restaurant tour on the river • Bohol Tarsier – The Philippine Tarsier is one of the smallest primates in the world • Loboc Ecotourism Adventure Park – ziplining, cable car, ATV tours etc • Panglao Island – boasting pristine beaches with white powdery fine sands
