Las Vegas, USA

General • Las Vegas is approx. 10.5 hours flight from London • Best time to travel is from March to May and September to November • June to August can be very hot - 40+ degrees! • Avoid peak times such as 4th July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year as prices are very high for flights and hotels and it is also very busy • Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, American Airlines and Norwegian have direct flights to Las Vegas from the UK • Pool parties normally finish around October and don't open up until March/April due to winter season Hotels Luxor (3.5/4 star) is further south of the strip so you have to take taxis or a good 40min walk to the Bellagio (middle of the famous Strip). Try and get a room in the Towers and it’s easy to spot your hotel as it has a light beam at the top of the pyramid at night! Very reasonably priced rooms. Wynn (5 star) is just slightly north of the middle of the Strip, approx. 15min walk to Bellagio (middle of the Strip). The sister hotel is the Encore (next door). There is a beautiful foyer and reception area and large spacious rooms with big bathrooms too. There are luxurious amenities and services. The hotel has one of the best buffet restaurants on the Strip and vast dining options with 15 restaurants to choose from. There is also Tryst Nightclub which is one of the most popular nightclubs on the Strip. Must see/do • Place a bet in one of the many casinos • See a music show - from Britney to Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Boyz 2 Men • Cirque du Soleil - catch one of their breath-taking shows such as 'Zumanity' or 'O' • Walk the famous Strip - venture in and out of the various themed hotels, most of which are all interconnecting so you don't even have to venture outside! • Take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon visiting Hoover Dam, Lake Mead along the way and flying back home via the Strip • For those that don't like heights - take a jeep tour or horseback ride through the Grand Canyon • Sip a cocktail and dance the night away at one of Vegas's top bars and nightclubs • Visit the old town of Las Vegas - Fremont Street and even zipline over the street! The drinks are much cheaper here so great to start your night off here before you hit the main Strip
