Cunard's Three Queens Diamond Jubilee Celebration - Tuesday 5 June 2012 I was delighted to be one of the 60 lucky travel agents who won a place at Cunard's spectacular Three Queens Diamond Jubilee Celebration on Tuesday 5 June 2012, the final day of the extended bank holiday weekend. This was the first time all three Queens have sailed in together to their home port of Southampton and it was an incredible sight to behold. I was selected to join the celebrations on board Queen Mary 2, which was great as I had never been on board her before and now I can compare all 3 ships for myself. Being the largest and flagship of the fleet she is certainly impressive. A true Ocean Liner. Highlights on the ship are the Planetarium (only one at sea) which offers 3D screenings of operatic masterpieces and blockbuster movies as well as the Illuminations, the grand ballroom and extensive library After a drinks reception and waterline tour of the 3 ships, the weather did little to dampen our spirits! The arrival of the Queens started a day of festivities which ended in a fantastic firework display, a fitting finale to the Jubilee holiday. If you would like to hear more about Cunard and the voyages available to book please feel free to get in contact, I would be more than happy to hear from you.
