Oceania Marina - Ship Visit

Oceania Marina - Ship Visit. My thanks to Oceania cruises for inviting me to lunch on their beautiful ship - the Marina. Mid-size ship at 65 tons with capacity for 1200 guests (meaning lots of space for everyone). Looking around this elegant vessel I get the impression of relaxation and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Oceania pitch themselves in the upper premium bracket (4 star) and create a country house elegance in a traditional style. Not for those looking for non-stop activity - no walls to climb or ice rinks to skate but if your idea of a holiday is to relax with a book by the fireplace (yes, there is!) in the library or a intimate game of cards - this ship (or one of the other Oceania ships) could be for you. As I walk around all the ship's restaurants (no extra charge for the speciality dining), bars and coffee areas it is plain to see that those that come on the Oceania ships are into their food and wine. You could dine every night in a different venue and sample a vast array of different foods and wines. All food and soft drinks, tea and coffee are included with alcoholic drinks at an extra charge. There is even a white gloved high tea every afternoon. Informal - no black tie nights so ideal for those not intending to do formal and no organized events such as pool side games etc. Children - although permitted on the ship there are no facilities for them so very few, if any are on board Oceania's tag line is 'Your World Your Way' and you can make what you want of your time at sea. Extensive spa (Canyon Ranch) and gym with classes to work off those calories! Call Anjie today on 01270 560731 for more information
