Thank you Dan, for booking us yet another amazing adventure - this time by rail across 7 countries over 12 days! Leaving from St Pancras, London we travelled though France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. We have had an incredible time and seen some wonderful things from beautiful Lake Bled, pretty Ljubljana and the magnificent Postojna Caves in Slovenia, to the magnificent Kotor Bay in Montenegro and the pretty towns of Split and Makarska, and the incredible Hvar island in Croatia. Crossing the Alps through Austria was stunning but the highlight for us were the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia...16 turquoise lakes connected by stunning waterfalls in a National Park inhabited by bears, wild boar and hundreds of species of birds and butterflies. We met some great people amongst our travelling companions and had lots of fun with our tour manager Martyn at Great Rail Journeys. You kept us updated of any changes to our itinerary and were quick to deal with any enquiries we had ahead of our trip. We can't wait to make more plans with you as your attention to detail was impeccable as always.

Dan was very helpful in suggesting resorts and had really good knowledge of most of the resorts through colleagues, family or first hand. This insight helped us make an informed decision on our chosen resort.

Australia is such a vast country and planning a 3 week itinerary felt really intimidating, so we decided to use a travel agent for the first time. I was slightly apprehensive about letting somebody else plan the holiday but Dan did not disappoint - he let us have as little or as much involvement as we wanted, gave lots of recommendations including advice on how much to spend in each city and saved us a lot of time, hassle and money on the internal flight planning. So excited for our honeymoon!

I would (and have) recommend Dan to anyone looking to book a holiday, big or small. The care he took from the very beginning made me realise we were in good hands. His approach was very personalised and meant that we could get the absolute most out of our family trip to Sri Lanka. We were going in without many ideas of where to go but he asked about our likes and dislikes, and our holiday must dos and soon we had our dream trip planned. One extremely helpful aspect of using Dan and the Travel Counsellors when booking our trip, meant that when the airline encountered delayed flights, which in turn meant that our connecting flight was going to be missed, Dan and the team were able to sort it, and find us new flights asap, ensure that our driver at the final destination was informed etc.This was beyond helpful and meant we had no stress and it meant we also didn't need to join the very long queue in Dubai to organise new flights. We just sailed through to the departures gates, happy that our next flights were sorted. All the accommodation we stayed at was brilliant, and highlighted the natural beauty of each area of Sri Lanka we were staying. Each activity was well organised, no waiting in queues, snacks and refreshments whenever we needed, and our guide/ driver on hand to provide insightful information and answer any questions we may have had. Dan and the team were contactable about any issues we had, which were minimal, but it was a huge relief to just be able to relax and enjoy our adventure knowing everything was sorted. Can't recommend Dan enough as a Travel Counsellor, very kind, very helpful and you can tell he is passionate about his work which plays into him wanting you to get the best out of your trip. This is our second trip booked through DanHTravels at Travel Counsellors, and this was more spectacular than the first. He organised 6 days in South Africa, with 4 days in the middle on Safari and hotel stay either side. This was followed by a 12-night trip to Mauritius. We had a fabulous trip. Everything was planned to our requirements, and everything was perfect. Dans attention to detail was impeccable and his understanding of our needs was clear. The lodge we had booked in South Africa for our safari was wonderful, and not one we would have found by ourselves, but it was a beautiful gem. He considered what would suit us and matched us perfectly. Tintswalo Waterberg was a small lodge, but the service, accommodation and food were excellent with great safari drives. He chose the same hotel, The Irene Lodge, for our stay either side and the hotel itself and its location was perfect; just an hour from Johannesburg airport which meant we were able to enjoy time away from the airport area. Our transfers either side were punctual and efficient. The hotels Dan selected in Mauritius were perfect for us, with activities to suit everyone in our party. We stayed at 2 different hotels, The Lagoon Attitude was an adult only hotel on the North coast and the Lux Belle Mar was a family friendly hotel on the East coast. Both were beautiful with excellent facilities, with friendly and attentive staff. Dan was really informative and knowledgeable, and we trusted his suggestions which were spot on. We have so many places on our travel wish list and would have no hesitation asking Dan to plan these for us also.

Dan has planned our perfect honeymoon. He listened to everything we wanted and put together an itinerary with great attention to detail, he did it all in a timely manner and was always available to speak to us at whatever time of day worked best for us. Thank you!

Amazing communication since we have been organising our trip and very knowledgeable about Vietnam. Super quick and extremely detailed responses to emails and enquiries. Also, is very patient with the amount of questions I have to ask and reassures me no question is a silly question.
