Starting my business with Travel Counsellors
Last week I had the pleasure of completing the Travel Counsellors for Business week long induction course in Manchester. I was unsure what to expect but couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised.
After a Monday morning of introductions and orientation, while we were having lunch, heads of departments and members of staff from all areas of the company came over to say hi and offer their support if we should need it for any reason. The feeling of belonging was instant and genuine. I have never felt so welcomed in an organisation.
Travel Counsellors have over 330 support staff in their Venus HQ in Manchester, who are all there to support the 1800 strong contingent of Travel Counsellors around the globe. I started this journey expecting to start up my own Travel Management Company with some support of Travel Counsellors but came away feeling part of an amazingly well organised and structured company who will offer me more support than I thought was possible.
After a very successful twenty years in the travel industry, most recently looking after multi-national companies with demanding business travel requirements, the decision to start up my own business was not one I could take lightly. However, with the support of everyone in Travel Counsellors I know I will be able to offer the service and product my new clients demand and deserve. Not only that but I know I will be able to exceed their expectations.
