Hi, I’m Kathy Crane, your personal Travel Counsellor. I’m based in Rishton, Lancashire, where I’ve lived for the past 16 years with my husband and two daughters. I originally grew up in Great Harwood, so I’ve always been local to the Hyndburn/Blackburn area.
I worked for Going Places/Thomas Cook in the Accrington branch for 14 years, before moving on to Althams, an independent travel agency in Rossendale, where I spent two years making dreams come true. Throughout the years, I’ve gained excellent knowledge and training, in all aspects of the sometimes daunting travel industry.
I decided to join Travel Counsellors in 2015, as I pride myself on giving the best advice and customer service possible. With the constantly updated technology, head office support and assistance from this award winning company, I feel I can offer this and much more.
I love to travel with my family and friends and have been fortunate to experience many fantastic destinations over the years. My passion is for the Greek islands, with their fabulous beaches, local tavernas, culture and of course not forgetting the glorious sunshine we all crave so much. Along the way, as well as visiting the most popular European beach resorts, I’ve cruised the ocean with both P&O Cruises and MSC Cruises, said ‘hi’ to Mickey Mouse in Disney and flown to the other side of the world, to Perth, Western Australia. My favourite trip however was to Thailand, where I did a triple centre stay which included Bangkok, Elephant Hills and then a beach stay in Phuket…Elephant Hills is a fab experience!
I take pride in finding the perfect holiday for my clients, as they mean much more to me than just a sales transaction. I love my job and often work out of hours, not just during traditional office hours. I understand the pressures of busy working and family lives, so I can chat when it’s convenient.
