Why Forte Village in Sardinia Should Be on Your Radar

Nic Foley on 13 May 2025
Last week, I had the pleasure of being hosted at the exceptional Forte Village Resort in Sardinia – and I came away not only refreshed, but genuinely impressed by what the resort has to offer.

Nestled on a stunning stretch of the Sardinian coastline, just over two hour’s flight from London, Forte Village combines five-star comfort with an extraordinary range of facilities. Having experienced it first-hand, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to clients looking for a luxury escape with real depth – whether that’s quality time with family or an active break in the sun.

A True Family Favourite

While the resort is beautifully designed for relaxation, it’s the breadth of family-focused experiences that really stands out. From a dedicated Children’s Wonderland to a superb go-karting academy, this is a place where younger guests are more than just accommodated – they’re actively entertained and engaged. For teens, there’s a real sense of independence to enjoy, with safe surroundings and plenty of activities tailored to their age group. Think watersports, DJ workshops, football camps, basketball courts, dance lessons – and yes, even a pizza-making class or two.

Paradise for Sports Enthusiasts

For those who like to stay active (or have children who do), Forte Village is one of the most sports-oriented resorts I’ve come across. The facilities are first-class: • 13 tennis courts (including clay and hard courts) – all floodlit for night use • Padel and pickleball courts • A state-of-the-art gym • Cycling, running and football academies • Expert coaching for all levels, including professional-led training camps during peak season Whether you’re an aspiring athlete or just want to enjoy a few friendly games in the sunshine, the resort offers everything you need – and more.

Accommodation & Dining

I stayed in Hotel Castello, one of the resort’s most refined properties. With its elegant rooms, sea views, and direct access to the beach, it offered a sense of space and serenity that’s ideal for a luxury break. Across the resort, there’s a wide range of accommodation – from family-friendly bungalows to ultra-private villas with personal butlers. Dining was a daily highlight, with a mix of Sardinian specialities, fine dining options, and relaxed beachfront venues. The attention to detail was clear – and as someone who works in bespoke travel, it’s something I notice immediately.

Why Forte Village?

In short, Forte Village offers the rare combination of top-tier luxury with genuine versatility. It’s a place where adults can relax in peace while children are happily occupied. A resort where sport and wellness are integral, not an afterthought. And where the staff go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfectly taken care of. It’s ideal for: ?? Families with children or teens ?? Multi-generational trips ?? Sports lovers (tennis, padel, football, cycling…) ?? Couples or friends looking for laid-back luxury in the Mediterranean If Forte Village isn’t already on your radar, it should be.
