It means that I remember that last year you wanted to go to Borneo but your eldest broke his leg on the stupid skateboard that you told your mother she shouldn't buy him for Christmas. I remember that you prefer American Airlines business to BA... because of the ice cream sundaes... Right, well that's all good then. But it's not really just me looking after you and the two of us chatting endlessly on WhatsApp over which is the nicest bit of Bali when I should actually be getting my son ready for school. We’ve got this far then, and you’re probably thinking why me? Not in the unexpected-item-in-the-bagging-area-for-the-fourth-time-kinda way, but in the who-is-this-woman-who’s-made-me-a-fake-coffee-and-rambled-on-about-holidays-for-three-paragraphs-kinda-way. I’m Beth (Hi!) Without giving too much away, I started my career in travel back when everyone thought Let Loose were the new NKOTB. Travel makes me me, and I’ve visited dozens of countries across five continents. Bluntly it’s an obsession I bore my husband with every evening. So if it can’t be me experiencing what it’s like to peer over the grand canyon, or feel the bounce of the seaplane skimming the azure that surrounds my paradise Maldivian island then I’ll do all in my power to make it feel for you like it did for me. We flew down to Jaipur, then onto Ranthambore to see the Tigers then onto the beautiful Taj Mahal. This year brings a few lovely trips , Lake Garda, River cruise along the Rhine, Malta , Vienna and Zurich...with an overnight train, this will be interesting. I love football, and have supported Sheffield United for many years, unfortunately relegated this season, lets see what the 24/25 season brings. Bramall Lane is my second home. My bucket list included Hong Kong which I visited eight years ago. It was fabulous and lived up to my expectations. I love adding to my list with my own experiences and suggestions from friends. Hopefully you won’t need to test me, but I do come into my own when problems arise. I’ve helped friends, family and customers to get out of some tricky situations all over the world! This includes helping my customers when: trouble began in Syria, a credit card didn’t work in Sydney, mountain rescuers were needed in France, and when the nanny of one of my customer’s phoned in sick while she was skiing. Welcome! My name is Hannah, I love to travel and I love to help you travel too!Since a young age, I have been fortunate to travel many places and experience many different holiday types. It’s easy as we travel by ferry and even Lenny our Lab comes along! This year we went to Normandy for the first week and then travelled down to the Loire Valley for our second week. We’ve been to both areas before; Normandy is rich in its history and very interesting with the beaches and museums. The Loire Valley, renowned for its Chateaux’s, beautiful scenery and Rose Wine is a favourite of ours. Our Italian Adventure in October which saw us exploring Pisa, Florence, Lucca, and Siena and then a train down to Rome. We had an amazing time, fabulous food and locals and was great to fit so much in.This year we have Thailand to look forward to, we are visiting the North this time, rich in culture and traditions we're hoping to see another side of Thailand. Then in the summer the girls and I are off on our first cruise around Scandinavia! I've enjoyed visiting many cruise ships over the last couple of years and did cruise many moons ago but so much has changed, we are very much looking forward to it.I absolutely love hearing from you and helping you create wonderful memories. I am proud to be a Travel Counsellor, we offer a great service and huge commitment to our customers and now as a company have a 24 hour duty office so there is always someone there for you as well as myself.I have worked in the travel industry for 39 years now, originally working for two multiples on the high street where I progressed to management levels prior to starting a family. I chose to join Travel Counsellors 20 years ago because they care about their customers, working with state of the art technology and offer fantastic head office support to assist me in my role. I have a huge client base now and most of my customers have become personal friends. They help me by passing my details to their colleagues, friends and family which now means I am busy most of the year and as my children are now 28 and 27 years old and need less attention I have more time though our Grandchildren aged 11 , 4 and 1 do keep me busy. I do love the fact that I can work much more flexible hours to suit my customers' needs as they can contact me at any time of the day or night whichever suits them best whether that be a weekend or an evening.I aim to give the highest possible customer service and to ensure that every travel arrangement meets and better still, exceeds your expectations. Hi and thank you for taking the time to view my profile.My passion for travel started back in 1993 when after six years of working for National Westminster Bank, I decided I wanted to see the world. I travelled to Africa, India, Nepal, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala and finally Canada where I stayed for three years working in an art gallery in Toronto, and worked my way across to Vancouver with the same company.On my return to the UK in 1997, I started a position with Fidelity Investments but quickly realised my bug for travel was not satiated and in 1998, embarked on a trip to the Philippines, Fiji and Australia where I worked for St George Bank for nine months. I visited Guatemala for the second time travelling by bus through Mexico up to San Francisco where I stayed for five years. I travelled extensively across the west coast visiting Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada and of all the places I visited, Lake Tahoe is my favourite. I returned to the UK in 2003 and naturally it made perfect sense to me to embark on a career in travel so I joined Flightcentre UK, firstly in the direct stores in New Malden, then moving to Sutton Surrey store where I remained until 2007. I was sent on numerous educational trips to destinations such as South Africa, New Zealand, Rio, New York and countless European countries all of which were fantastic and enabled me to gain an extensive knowledge of how travel operators and hotels work. I happily share this knowledge with customers and colleagues alike with the aim of benefitting their travel experience.In 2007 I decided to move to Corporate Traveller. I was spending more and more time with corporate clients, establishing their needs, cementing business relationships, making recommendations and thus making savings. I managed a number of very high profile accounts, examples including Aston Martin, BBVA bank, Celebrity Speakers, Circassia Pharmaceutical and many others and I always maintained the relationships with both bookers and travellers to a very high standard. I have won customer service awards and was the only consultant in the company to attend the Global Ball in Berlin in 2018, (runner up in 2019) based on customer excellence survey results and pride myself on the relationships I have with my clients. I have now embarked on a career with Travel Counsellors, a company founded in 1994, with full ATOL protection, over two thousand staff, full out of hours protection, Queens award winner three times, a five star trust pilot rating, British Travel awards winners and most important of all for me, a company with a truly holistic approach to customers and consultants. Hello, I’m Norman and I’m happily married to Janet and we have a wonderful Golden Retriever Freya.So you may ask, why choose me to arrange your travel plans?To answer that I’d first like to tell you a little bit about why I started working in the travel industry, way back in 1975.As a young boy, I dreamed of becoming an airline pilot, having been fortunate to travel extensively with my family to some of the far flung corners of the globe, well before tour operators or even travel packages were conceived. As a 12 year old I would often be found sitting in the cockpit with the pilot, asking hundreds of questions and getting my Junior Jet Club Frequent Flyer log book signed.Sadly due to colour blindness, my dream job could never be realised, but that didn’t fade my love of travel and so in my early twenties I took ownership of a local travel agency; in Wigan, learning the trade from the bottom up.Since that date in 1975 I have been responsible for arranging thousands of holidays and business trips for individuals, couples and families, major corporations, a leading TV company and broadcaster, celebrities and professional sports clubs, including their players, backroom staff and an army of devoted fans. I have been known to charter private jets, trains and dare I mention organizing the travel plans of a major political party during a general election.My clients come from all walks of life; have different expectations and budgets, which I try my utmost to fulfil. From room or seating requests, to the dietary requests of a famous TV chef, I’ve learned that nothing is impossible.
