I live in Innellan, Argyll, with my wife, 13 year old son, 2 cats and 2 gerbils, but hail from the Isle of Jura in the Inner Hebrides.I first found my love for travel when I was 20 years old and spent 6 months in New Zealand on a study tour as part of my college course. I got the bug! I then went on to travel around Australia and New Zealand again, with visits to the Cook Islands, Fiji, Hong Kong, and Singapore thrown in. Florida is my favourite destination because of all the theme parks, especially Disney, I was lucky to be able to go there nearly every year from the ages 1-8. As a child I saw my favourite characters being brought to life and was able to be apart of the magic myself when walking through the streets of Disney and seeing Cinderella's castle. Our family holidays to Florida really are some of my favourite memories. That being said, I still have many dream vacations left on my bucket list that I am excited to experience. I started straight from school as a trainee and worked my way up to a Branch Manager of a high-street travel agency. After a few years, I moved to Head Office into a Business Development role where I was responsible for training travel agents all over the UK, this included worldwide destination training and cruising. I also led many trips abroad visiting new destinations and hotels (it was a hard job but someone had to do it!) I left the travel business for a short time to help with my family business but soon missed the travel bug, and before joining Travel Counsellors I worked as a Cruise Specialist selling many different cruises all over the world. I've been lucky enough to of sailed on over 80 cruises with many different cruise lines and I am often recommended to first time cruisers as its imperative you sail on the right ship! Whilst currently London based, I divide my time between visiting friends in Yorkshire and family in Bournemouth.
