I live in Innellan, Argyll, with my wife, 13 year old son, 2 cats and 2 gerbils, but hail from the Isle of Jura in the Inner Hebrides.I first found my love for travel when I was 20 years old and spent 6 months in New Zealand on a study tour as part of my college course. I got the bug! I then went on to travel around Australia and New Zealand again, with visits to the Cook Islands, Fiji, Hong Kong, and Singapore thrown in. After I met my wife, we set off on an almost 2 year adventure travelling extensively throughout America and Canada before ending up in New Zealand and returning home via Thailand. We also attended a wedding on the west coast of Mexico which was an amazing holiday and we did a transatlantic cruise for my 40th birthday. For my wife's 40th we had an incredible holiday based in Mombassa, Kenya, with a 4 day safari included. Latterly it's been more about family holidays. I have also been really lucky to have done a lot of travelling with my husband Martin too! There are now 3 of us in the Butler household. Myself and Martin, and Charlie we also have 26 cows that really do like to have their ears scratched. Martin and I have travelled most of Europe, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and then some longer ones like the USA, Caribbean, and Canada. So far I have two favourite destinations – they are a bit chalk and cheese though – Mexico and Florida! Hi there, I'm Anthony and I am based in the sunny city of Dundee in the east of Scotland. I have enjoyed travelling since the age of 7 when I first went to Switzerland with my family. I then was caught by the cruise bug a year later when I stepped on my first cruise ship and ever since I can't stop cruising. I travelled to Africa, India, Nepal, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala and finally Canada where I stayed for three years working in an art gallery in Toronto, and worked my way across to Vancouver with the same company.On my return to the UK in 1997, I started a position with Fidelity Investments but quickly realised my bug for travel was not satiated and in 1998, embarked on a trip to the Philippines, Fiji and Australia where I worked for St George Bank for nine months. I visited Guatemala for the second time travelling by bus through Mexico up to San Francisco where I stayed for five years. I returned to the UK in 2003 and naturally it made perfect sense to me to embark on a career in travel so I joined Flightcentre UK, firstly in the direct stores in New Malden, then moving to Sutton Surrey store where I remained until 2007. I was sent on numerous educational trips to destinations such as South Africa, New Zealand, Rio, New York and countless European countries all of which were fantastic and enabled me to gain an extensive knowledge of how travel operators and hotels work.
