Hello and thank you for visiting my web page. With over 25 years experience working within the travel industry I can honestly say that travel is in my blood. As a child my parents lived and worked in the Middle East so together with my siblings we visited many interesting and beautiful countries and so my love affair with travel began.After graduating from University I packed my rucksack and left for America. Together with a friend we worked and travelled down the East Coast following our dreams and creating life long memories. On return to the UK I continued my adventures and applied to become a ski guide in the northern French Alps for Crystal Ski. Like many graduates before me one season led to another and following a year out travelling in Australia and New Zealand I moved to the Austrian Tyrol to work as a customer service manager for TUI Travel. This is where I met my husband and our first daughter was born in the beautiful town of Kitzbuhel. After enjoying the next couple of years surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of The Austrian Alps we made the decision to re-locate back to the UK.I continued to work for the Tui Travel Group as an agent in Matlock, Derbyshire and built up over 13 years service. In 2014 I was awarded Regional Travel Advisor of the year and began to think about broadening my horizons and setting up my own business. I will be sailing on Celebrity APEX this year to Scandinavia - our first cruise North!Since Covid came into our lives it has certainly clipped all of our wings, but it seems to have made most of my clients more determined than ever to make the time to get away. In 2022 my first overseas adventure was a tour to Jordan - which was great fun. I was invited on Celebrity Beyond for a trade promotional weekend not long after. Our first holiday in 2022 was an Azamara cruise around Croatia - a stunning destination and a chance to find out what happens now you can't dock ships over 25,000 tons in Venice! Our last major trip of 2022 was a last minute cruise around the Greek Islands on Windstar. We always wanted to take a trip on a masted ship and it was everything we hoped for and more. We also explored Athens for a few days before flying home which was easy to do and very interesting. In 2023 we added Seville, Haarlem (Netherlands) for Floriade, the USA, Mexico, Cornwall, Devon & Cyprus. In 2024 our biggest trip was a month spent travelling around California and Canada. The highlight was the Calgary Stampede which we followed with a leisurely self drive through the Rockies and a stop on the East in Montreal. Our first trip of the year this year was to Abu Dhabi and Thailand. For each personal & client booking I make I'm planting trees through Trees4Travel to help offsets the carbon emissions generated by our travels. So far I've planted nearly 1000 trees in Kenya & Mozambique. Hi, my name is Maria, I was born and bred in Somerset, and seem to have a strong West Country "Farmer" accent! so people tell me! I always knew since school I either wanted to a a Travel Agent or a Florist and lucky for me, I got a job in Travel at the aged of 16 and have never left the industry! I've been creating memories for people for over 45 years.
