I've been creating memories for people for over 45 years. It was In 1978 I started my career in travel; and after a lifetime working in resort, hotel and travel operations management, today I am still here helping people who want to see the world do it with confidence, in safety and with financial protection.In the pandemic years, I looked after my clients with a "whatever it takes" attitude; reorganised travel, and made refunds promptly. I've planned complex rail and road itineraries across Spain, Croatia, Montenegro and France, and plenty of Greek Island hopping. I’m a globetrotter and have visited 72 countries. crossed the Pacific exploring Hawaii down to Tonga, Samoa to French Polynesia to New Zealand and Australia, sailed around South America, enjoyed the Indian Ocean, and made several Atlantic crossings, arriving into wonderful New York, and "inching" under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge as the sun comes up, glistening against the windows of the skyscrapers in Manhattan.And having worked in many ski resorts over the years in Austria and Italy, and also skied extensively in Switzerland and France, I'm also a bit of a whizz on ski holidays. Hi, my name is Maria, I was born and bred in Somerset, and seem to have a strong West Country "Farmer" accent! so people tell me! I always knew since school I either wanted to a a Travel Agent or a Florist and lucky for me, I got a job in Travel at the aged of 16 and have never left the industry! From starting out working in Tour Operations putting together Tailor-made Bespoke Rugby Tours to continuing through the travel agencies on the high Street to now being a Business Owner for the last 20 years. Having my own business gives my the flexibility to work the hours that suit me and my clients and that can look like a Teams call, clients visiting my office in Midsomer Norton (by appointment) or me meeting them for coffee or a breakfast perhaps, or visiting them at home at a time that suits them. My working hours are very different each week but predominately I am in my Office itself 8.30-4.30 Mon-Fri however I work outside these hours to suit. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to some pretty amazing places in the world and have been able to take my family too. Our Girls , whom are all grown up now and young adults, have seen the world from their early ages so travelling as a family, is something I completely understand and can relate too. As the girls are grown up, My husband and I are now starting to holiday as a couple again and for one it is a lot Cheaper! The one thing I enjoy the most about having a Travel Business, is I get to see many years of a client and watch them grow. I have the Privilege to deal with couples. Solo travellers, and families throughout many years of their lives and go through the changes that life brings, such as an Honeymoon, maybe a wedding abroad, the 1st time travelling with a child/children on a family holiday, or going solo for the 1st time and also later in life taking their grandchildren away and dealing with the whole family through generations. This is what I love- building the relationships and adapting to the needs and desires of the clients at that time in their lives. I must tell you, where I've travelled (but I cant tell your a favourite as there are so many destinations that have captured my heart over the years) However Cyprus is where we got married and that will remain a special place, Morocco is the new favourite, however Croatia is also a favourite too! I love a city breaks and loved Dublin, Krakow, Barcelona and my favourite is Amsterdam!When it comes to further a field, Turks and Caicos' has the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, St Lucia, is the most stunning Island and Thailand was full of the most beautiful Culture and the Elephants were just one of those experiences I will never forget and not forgetting the glorious adventures we had in Canada too! A little about what I do in my personal life- I love watching Women's and Men's Rugby, I am a Bath supporter! I love watching F1 and have been to a few races in my time. I started straight from school as a trainee and worked my way up to a Branch Manager of a high-street travel agency. After a few years, I moved to Head Office into a Business Development role where I was responsible for training travel agents all over the UK, this included worldwide destination training and cruising. My name is Jade and I am a Travel Counsellor from the South East corner of the UK. I have lived close to the coast my whole life, growing up in the seaside town of Ramsgate before moving over to a lovely spot in between the coastal towns of Margate and Broadstairs, where I now live with my partner and our two small children.I was bitten by the travel bug from a young age, as I was fortunate enough to go on lots of lovely family holidays across Europe and the USA. At twenty one I pursued a career in travel and became cabin crew for British Airways, flying all over the world, and landing in some places I had never even heard of! I lived the jet-setter life for a few years before deciding it was time to place my feet back on the ground and continue my travel career but in a new direction. After hanging up my wings, I worked for two high-street agents, Kuoni and TUI respectively. Growing up in a working-class town in England in the mid-80s, that certainly made me stand out. But for me, jumping on a plane to my mother’s wooden stilt family home deep in the Thai jungle was simply part of childhood.
