Memorable Travel Experience: Whilst travelling alone in Hong Kong, I took a glass bottom cabin on the sky-rail from Tung Chung to the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. The sun was beginning to set, and the last cabin was due to depart… but I wasn’t having that! I decided to hike to the bottom along the Wisdom Path, it’s surrounded by forest, overlooks the Tung Chung Bay and I didn’t see another person for 2 hours. As I reached the bottom I jumped on a random bus, that took me to a fishing village, Mui Who, where I had dinner with the locals. Luckily, there was a ferry terminal there that took me from the serene Lantau Island back to bustling Hong Kong. The darkness of the evening was obliterated by the Symphony of Lights display that greeted me as I arrived back at the bay. It was an accidental, day of exploration where everything just clicked into place without even trying, sometimes the best experiences are the ones that aren’t planned. As the world becomes more accessible, our horizons may be expanded. I have a genuine passion for travel and have been fortunate enough to travel extensively from the Arctic Circle to Zanzibar! 2024 has been another wonderful year of travels! Starting with a weeks skiing in Finland where the Northern Lights made an appearance (I am so blessed to have seen them on three different occasions in three different countries!), I went to Turkey for the first time, Corfu and returned back to Tunisia to spend a relaxing week over May half term. In September I went to Qatar for the first time and it really was a fabulous experience There is so much to see and do and the prices at the moment are amazing compared to other countries in the UAE area. Please do get in touch if you would like to find out more! I finished the year sailing on the Danube with 18 clients on our Christmas markets river cruise. We visited Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava and everyone had a wonderful time. I am sailing on the Rhine next December to do the German Christmas markets, please get in touch if you are interested in joining me.Previous holiday highlights include an amazing three weeks in South Africa where we went shark diving, walked with penguins, washed down elephants, ate amazing food, and finished with a fabulous safari. I have also experienced a safari in Kenya, beach bliss in Zanzibar and spent Christmas skiing in Canada and also visiting Father Christmas in Lapland, Finland. I loved my bucket list transatlantic cruise from Southampton to New York on Queen Mary 2 and would happily get back onboard tomorrow. I was also fortunate to visit Brazil, an amazing country that did not disappoint. Now having two young boys my holidays have changed slightly but we love experiencing new cultures and discovering new destinations. We are all hooked on cruising after doing our first as a family 9 years ago, even the fourteen and eleven-year-old members of my family! I have been on many different ships and love to talk and advice those who are new to cruise, and who have cruised before on the differences each cruise line/ship will give you. Not to mention the amazing adventures and itineraries available. My focus is to get you the right holiday totally tailored to your requirements.
