I was born in New Zealand, grew up in Australia, and have lived in Oxfordshire, England, for over twenty years. My first trip abroad was to Hawaii and I have been travelling ever since. But for me, jumping on a plane to my mother’s wooden stilt family home deep in the Thai jungle was simply part of childhood. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong love of travel that eventually became my career.My first trip to Thailand in 1987 even made the local headlines, and since then I’ve returned more than 30 times - including four years living there while teaching English. The Loire Valley, renowned for its Chateaux’s, beautiful scenery and Rose Wine is a favourite of ours. Our Italian Adventure in October which saw us exploring Pisa, Florence, Lucca, and Siena and then a train down to Rome. We had an amazing time, fabulous food and locals and was great to fit so much in.This year we have Thailand to look forward to, we are visiting the North this time, rich in culture and traditions we're hoping to see another side of Thailand. Then in the summer the girls and I are off on our first cruise around Scandinavia! I've enjoyed visiting many cruise ships over the last couple of years and did cruise many moons ago but so much has changed, we are very much looking forward to it.I absolutely love hearing from you and helping you create wonderful memories. I started straight from school as a trainee and worked my way up to a Branch Manager of a high-street travel agency. If you have trouble finding the perfect holiday or simply don’t have the time or energy I can help. My passion for travel began after buying my first Inter-railing ticket around Europe. During those four weeks I learnt so much about different cultures, cities and food. I was hooked! From that moment on I decided to work in travel and help others fulfill their travelling dreams.After graduation I worked for one of the leading travel agents in Kensington, London where I specialised in long haul, tailor-made holidays. My fondest memories were creating bespoke holidays for different people, with different budgets and different dreams; be it long haul, short haul, budget, luxury, backpack or family break.I have been fortunate enough to experience many different types of holidays, having backpacked around the world after University, had luxury trips whilst working in the travel industry, and more recently (now I understand what it’s like travelling with children) family holidays closer to home in Europe. Some of my highlights include white water rafting down the Zambezi river in Africa, paragliding and bungee jumping in New Zealand, walking the Inca Trail in Peru, a desert safari in Dubai and relaxing on the fantastic beaches in Portugal.I am delighted to have joined Travel Counsellors. Being a Travel Counsellor isn’t just my job, it is my absolute passion!
