Just imagine the horror on my Mum’s face when, at the innocent age of 7, I announced to all and sundry that “I want to be a new age traveller”. I started straight from school as a trainee and worked my way up to a Branch Manager of a high-street travel agency. After a few years, I moved to Head Office into a Business Development role where I was responsible for training travel agents all over the UK, this included worldwide destination training and cruising. I also led many trips abroad visiting new destinations and hotels (it was a hard job but someone had to do it!) I have worked in the travel industry in both leisure and corporate travel for over 20 years now.
