I love adding to my list with my own experiences and suggestions from friends. Hopefully you won’t need to test me, but I do come into my own when problems arise. I’ve helped friends, family and customers to get out of some tricky situations all over the world! This includes helping my customers when: trouble began in Syria, a credit card didn’t work in Sydney, mountain rescuers were needed in France, and when the nanny of one of my customer’s phoned in sick while she was skiing. Hi I’m Jon! I live in Berkshire with my partner Maria and 2 house rabbits! When we’re not all hopping around the house, we’re either out walking, eating or listening to live music.I’ve personally visited Australia, Canada, China, Caribbean, Egypt, Europe, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Maldives, Morocco, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, USA (California, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada, Texas). I’ve enjoyed enduring overnight sleeper trains, tents and hostels, and relished relaxing in lavish hotels, 5-star dining and business class flights. Memorable Travel Experience: Whilst travelling alone in Hong Kong, I took a glass bottom cabin on the sky-rail from Tung Chung to the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. The sun was beginning to set, and the last cabin was due to depart… but I wasn’t having that! I decided to hike to the bottom along the Wisdom Path, it’s surrounded by forest, overlooks the Tung Chung Bay and I didn’t see another person for 2 hours. As I reached the bottom I jumped on a random bus, that took me to a fishing village, Mui Who, where I had dinner with the locals. Luckily, there was a ferry terminal there that took me from the serene Lantau Island back to bustling Hong Kong. The darkness of the evening was obliterated by the Symphony of Lights display that greeted me as I arrived back at the bay. It was an accidental, day of exploration where everything just clicked into place without even trying, sometimes the best experiences are the ones that aren’t planned. As the world becomes more accessible, our horizons may be expanded.
