Summer or winter I love it! In 2019 I visited California. I stayed in Huntington Beach, Palm Springs and San Diego. This was a first time visit to America for me. I really enjoyed it, so much to see & do for all ages. I took in a visit to the MS Midway which was out of this world & also watched the LA Dodgers play a game. In March 2020 my friends & I went to New York for the weekend, just wow!! We flew on Aer Lingus via Dublin so cleared customs there, it’s much easier than flying direct into JFK. Lots to say about New York! I can plan the best itinerary for you. Over the last 6 months I have visited Australia, Turkey, Prague & sailed the Danube on an amazing river cruise In January this year I travelled to Perth in Australia. My daughter Ellie now lives there pursuing her career as a midwife. My brother & his family have lived there for nearly 20 years.I also have a wealth of cruise knowledge after sailing on many wonderful ships. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, P&O, Regent, Silversea & Seabourn to name but a few. River cruise is one of my new favourite type of cruising. Last year June 2025 I sailed on Brilliance of the Seas to Greece Turkey. Cyprus with all the family.I have extensive knowledge in long haul travel, round the world itineraries & luxury travel I also specialise in family holidays for all ages. My passion is Australia - I’ve been a Tourism Australia Premier Aussie Specialist for many years, visiting all the States and Territories in over 20 trips; plus I’m a New Zealand Kiwi specialist and an expert in Round the World journeys. Closer to home I love to sail on Star Clippers traditional sailing ships, having crossed the Med with them several times; and in the winter I avoid the British weather by retreating to Tenerife for several weeks. My 40+ years travel experience started in university travel offices which gave me an unrivalled knowledge of airline and rail routes and off-the-beaten-track destinations, as many of the students and lecturers came from, or travelled to, some far-out places! In 1989 I started my own travel agency for independent travellers and was presented to HRH Prince Charles having won a competition for start-up businesses in the Calderdale area. Late in June 2008 I closed that business down and joined Travel Counsellors, providing support and security for myself and my clients. I’ve travelled widely and have specialist accreditations also for Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai etc, so I can offer a comparable service to all regions with the extensive and highly professional support of Travel Counsellors. Despite travelling extensively, my own wish-list never gets any shorter: as well as visiting Australia and New Zealand I have spent most winters in Tenerife and have also visited India, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Holland, Denmark, Barbados, Mexico, Thailand, the USA: and I’ll go anywhere else given half a chance! When I’m not booking travel, or travelling, I love to draw and paint and many of my pictures are inspired by the people and places I have met and seen along the way.
