I chose an exciting and interesting career 40 years ago. Originally I managed a couple of high street agencies before becoming a Travel Counsellor in 1996. In 2005 I was fortunate to fly to Windhoek, Namibia when we then drove to Ongava on the edge of the Etosha National Park. This is one of the best places to see the ‘big five’ and it lived up to all expectations. We then travelled to Sossusvlei to see the sand dunes, another must see. Followed by, Swakopmund to see dolphins and the Skeleton Coast which is home to millions of seals. Adding in some history we visited Twyfelfontein to see the ancient rock engravings and drove through Damaraland to see the desert elephants. We stayed in the most beautiful individual luxury lodges for 3 nights, making the most of the early morning and evening game drives.
