European city breaks have also played a part in my travels & Ive been lucky to have visited Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam & Warsaw to name a few. Over the last 6 months I have visited Australia, Turkey, Prague & sailed the Danube on an amazing river cruise In January this year I travelled to Perth in Australia. My daughter Ellie now lives there pursuing her career as a midwife. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, P&O, Regent, Silversea & Seabourn to name but a few. River cruise is one of my new favourite type of cruising. I largely lived, worked and travelled in Australia, also taking in Fiji and Hawaii on the way home. I have always loved adventure and this opened a whole new world of excitement, experiences and many life-long friends.Ever since, I have been fortunate to travel to many worldwide destinations and experience some magical places. From mountaineering and jungle trekking in Borneo, cruising the Egyptian Nile and riding donkeys to the Valley of the Kings, snowboarding and husky sledding in Canada, scuba diving with sharks in Fiji, hang gliding in Brazil, safaris in Kenya, honeymooning in Zanzibar, crayfish parties in Sweden, to road trips across the USA taking in some of the most breath-taking scenery imaginable.One of my favourite memories is proposing to my wife whilst scuba diving in Tobago, using an underwater slate and a makeshift ring. Thankfully she ticked the ‘Yes’ box and we returned to the surface to cheers from our fellow dive buddies. As of 2018 there are 195 countries in the world and I find it amazing that whilst I feel well travelled, I know I have only really scratched the surface (and occasionally gone underneath when diving!) To fuel my passion for travel, I worked for seven years for two bespoke travel companies, immersing myself further into new destinations, sharing my knowledge and experience and what it can do for the human spirit.
